The old world charm of "Scottish Links" style course with eighteen championship holes of golf designed by professional golf architect Mike Morley, is masterfully nested along the winding Sauk River.

Lynx National features tall prairie grasses and wildflowers in the rough. The rolling hills and winds of mother nature further compliment the challenge of this old country golf experience. The marshy wetlands and water surrounding the course not only challenges golfers, but also attracts wildlife to this nature preserve.

Course Description

The course has much of a favor of Links-style courses in Scotland and Ireland. Many of the characteristics of old style courses included well groomed fairways alongside prairie grasses and wildflowers. Add an occasional blustery wind, gaping and strategically placed 53 bunkers, plus large undulating greens, one can sense what it is to golf in Scotland.

Golfers of all abilities and handicaps can play Lynx National Golf Course. The par 72 course plays from four sets of tees measuring from 7,000 yards from the back tees to 5,260 from the forward tees. The focal point of the course is its massive greens that average nearly 8,000 square feet.

"Hole #15 - Par 5, 625 yards from Back tees will take three good shots to make the green in Regulation."

The front nine is referred to as the "Prairie" and the back nine the "Marsh".
